Recently, on one of my walks I was fortunate to see some of the amazing sea life here on the BC coast.  Looking down into the water I saw some absolutely incredible star fish, watched as a crab scurried across the sea floor, and witnessed numerous other sea creatures.

 

Above water, as I looked out onto some sort of cement island (I'm not sure what it really is called,) I watched a family of sea otters cavorting around.

 

Closer, on shore, I watched these amazing birds called ayster catchers, and yes that is what they do.

 

Lastly,  on several occasions, I have heard, but unfortunatley not seen, sea lions, barking in the distance.
